Floriditas began with a simple idea. To be the kind of warm, elegant establishment we’d love to eat, drink and be welcomed at.

Since opening in 2005, Flos has quietly become part of Wellington’s rhythm. We welcome locals and visitors alike from morning through to dinner. Some stay for years. Others for just one of Julie's perfect cheese scones. We’re inspired by the tradition of the European grand cafes, but this is our version. Less formal, more Welly. And perhaps, dare we say, better coffee.

And everything we cook is based around the seasons that give us such wonderful flavours. Asparagus, strawberries, Elderflower, Sorrell, the freshest eggs, Damson plums. Quince. Feijoas, Blood oranges, line-caught Cook Strait Blue Cod ... the list is endless. But above all, we’re proud to be part of this city we love. Welcome to our little, grand cafe.

Please make yourself at home.

The heart behind Floriditas.

At Floriditas and Loretta, we’re more than colleagues. We’re a family, with a heart-led culture grounded in generosity, kindness and going the extra mile.

Ours is a positive, productive, community-driven environment where everyone feels connected and proud of the work we do. That’s not accidental. It’s made with a secret(ish) recipe: open-book management; a weekly profit-share incentive when we hit targets; one-on-one coaching with our GM Hayden McMillan; and a commitment to growing your talents and career options.
